My first taste of sales was selling encyclopedias door to door to pay for university. I knew right then that I love sales and wanted to be a salesman for the rest of my life. It’s been 40 years and I still love sales.

Most companies I worked at provided little to no Sales Training. I picked up the best practices by reading sales books, watching other salespeople talk and sell, all while learning by trial and error. As I became more successful, I began mentoring other salespeople on my team, then training in sales meetings, and then for other teams. 20 years ago, I decided to share my experiences and best practices with others.

As I taught, I was learning the best sales practices of those I trained and, in turn, sharing those. It’s gratifying to learn that sales reps are selling more and happy with their compensation. Professional sales training in many companies is overlooked. I’m hoping to change that.
